The Changing Face of Craft Beer

Leigh Norwood, owner of Cheltenham’s national award-winning beer and cider specialist Favourite Beers is passionate about beer and is keen to share that passion with you. In this talk you will be introduced to just a few of the fantastic styles of craft beer that are currently being brewed in the UK today.

These will be illustrated with bottled beer tasters from a brewery that is at the forefront of the current UK craft beer revolution – Bristol’s Arbor Ales.  As well as exploring the taste elements of each beer style, Leigh will also provide informative historical backgrounds and a range of suggestions for the food and beer matchings to which these versatile beer styles lend themselves.

This presentation is sponsored by Arbor Ales, an innovative craft brewery who have been brewing in Bristol since 2007. In that time, they have tried to explore many beers styles, having brewed over 300 different beers.

As well as owning our region’s premiere bottle shop, Leigh has also been one of the key organisers of the Cheltenham beer festival for the past twelve years and is a member of the guild of British Beer Writers and judge’s beer at various events, including the International Beer Challenge.
