Gardening from plot to pot – Terry Walton

An illustrated talk of how to grow organic vegetables with all my tips for successful growing. How to store and freeze for self-sufficiency and to supply year-round fresh vegetables so there is never the need to go to a supermarket.

Since the age of four, when his dad first took him to his allotment, Terry has had a ‘growing’ desire to garden. He took his first allotment at the age of eleven and has been on the same allotment site for over fifty years.

He is a born again organic gardener having seen the error of his ways in the late 1960’s and dispensed with using chemicals, now growing all his produce using all-natural means of nourishing them.

He takes great pleasure in sharing his plot and growing experiences with everyone.

Been gardening on the same allotment since the age of eleven.  An organic grower supplying all my own vegetables for the table the year around. Appears regularly on a Friday on Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine show for the last 16 years giving an update to the 6.5 million listeners, and has appeared on Radio Wales, Radio Herford and Worcester and Radio Bristol.

Appearances on Good Morning and various other television shows and has appeared with Alan Titchmarsh on Gardeners World.

Terry writes a weekly column for Garden News and has written for Which gardening magazine, Saga, Home Farmer and various other contributions to other publications.
