Interview with NEPTUNE RUM

Neptune Rum is created from pure sugar cane molasses in the oldest distillery in Barbados, a fourth generation family owned producer set on the southern slopes of the island. Neptune is both smooth pot and column stilled – before being aged in American bourbon oak casks for up to eight years. We are thrilled that the Neptune Rum team will be at the Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival this summer and spoke to them to find out more about their award winning rum and what we can expect from them at the Festival this year.

 Tell us how Neptune Rum began?

18 months ago following a dream about the protector of the ocean creating the God of Rum – Neptune Rum, now the worlds most awarded rum and best British rum brand of 2018!

What is special about Neptune Rum?

It’s a Golden Barbados rum, aged and distilled in Barbados. It’s a single blend of 8,5 and 3 years old rums aged in Bourbon casks. Fantastically smooth and versatile, it’s the Worlds Most Awarded Rum and Best British rum brand of 2018!

 

With all the awards you have won, what is your greatest achievement with the brand to date?

The highest accolades we have achieved are the Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the Masters at the Spirits Business Awards, winning best British Rum Brand, and raising funding all in 2018!

What can people expect when they find you at the Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival?

One of the smoothest and versatile rums available on the market today!
